Procurement Professionals – Train to become a CIPS Tutor

REMOTE – up to £40,000

£40,000 is a study package.  A fully trained, experienced CIPS Trainer can earn up to £50,000 and day rates of £450.00 for contractors.  A Trainee CIPS Tutor is often called a CIPS Skills Coach.

If you are a Procurement professional, with a CIPS level 4 or above and have a work history within purchasing, had you thought about using your knowledge and expertise to support the next generation of CIPS Students?

As a CIPS Skills Coach you would be working for a CIPS Approved Training Centre who possess an impressive track record in the delivery of CIPS training programmes.

A CIPS Skills Coach work primarily from home and support their learners via Teams, email and telephone. There will be some face to face training delivery which will provide the opportunity to meet learners in person, which will help build up a relationship. Regular trips into the office are essential for continual professional development, which is a vital part of the Procurement Learner Support’s professional development.

A CIPS Skills Coach Support is allocated a caseload of CIPS students and it is the CIPS Skills Coach responsibility to guide them through every step of the programme and all that it entails.

Because a CIPS Skills Coach has done the job themselves, they understand the nature and complexities of the role and can explain theory in ways the student can grasp.

Some CIPS Skills Coach start the role with CIPS level 4 and the company will support them to gain MCIPS. The company will also provide the opportunity to study for professional training and assessing qualifications so the CIPS Skills Coach can work towards becoming a fully fledged CIPS Tutor. CIPS Tutors enjoy a higher level of salary. This is just the first step on the career ladder within training.

To ensure a high standard of training delivery, each CIPS Skills Coach is allocated their own mentor. This person will be a fully qualified training professional who has in depth knowledge of the CIPS programme. Their role will be to guide, coach and mentor whilst the CIPS Skills Coach works towards becoming a CIPS Tutor.

Essential for the role of CIPS Skills Coach:

  • CIPS level 4 or above.
  • Several years, recent work experience within a procurement department.
  • A work space at home with good internet connection.
  • The genuine desire to help people to succeed.
