Employer Engagement Advisor – Apprenticeships and Training | £24,000 – £27,000 (pro rata if part-time) + bonus scheme

Location: Hybrid (based within the West Midlands)
Line Manager: Engagement Manager
Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 (pro rata if part-time) + bonus scheme
Hours: Up to 37.5 per week (full-time). Part-time hours will be considered, provided core hours of 10:00 – 15:00 are covered each weekday.

Employer Engagement Advisor: Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Development Advisor to support the growth of apprenticeship opportunities across the tech and digital sectors.

This role is centred on proactive outbound calling, following up on leads, and engaging with employers to book appointments for the wider engagement team. You’ll be the first point of contact for many businesses, building interest and securing opportunities for apprenticeships while ensuring employer needs are understood and recorded.

Employer Engagement Advisor: Key Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to employers to introduce apprenticeship and training opportunities.
  • Clearly explain the benefits and eligibility of apprenticeship programmes.
  • Follow up on leads from marketing campaigns, events, and referrals.
  • Manage and update records accurately within the CRM system.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inbound enquiries.
  • Book appointments and information sessions for the engagement team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support smooth employer and learner onboarding.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing team on lead quality and campaign outcomes.
  • Maintain accuracy in all documentation and processes, ensuring compliance with funding and data requirements.

Employer Engagement Advisor: Essential Experience

  • Previous telesales or outbound calling experience, ideally within a B2B environment.
  • Experience in apprenticeships, training, or recruitment (desirable but not essential).
  • Track record of converting calls into appointments or opportunities.
  • Strong communication and telephone skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Well organised, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Confident using IT systems (Excel, Word, CRM tools).
  • Positive, resilient, and motivated by meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred (occasional travel may be required).
